1. What to Wear:

• Keep it Casual: Opt for light, comfortable clothing that complements the cheerful backdrop of sunflowers. Pastel colors, soft textures, and floral prints work wonderfully. Keep scrolling for an outfit guide from some major retailers.
• Avoid Busy Patterns: Large, bold patterns can sometimes distract from the natural beauty of the sunflowers. Opt for simpler designs that let you shine.

2. Time of Day:

• Best Light: the closer to sunset, the more golden and creamy the photos will be. Please keep this in mind as you select your time. If you're closer to the 5 o'clock, it's likely to be a little warmer and more sunny than at 8 p.m. Earlier options would work great if you add a nice sunhat or even sunglasses!

3. Props and Accessories:

• Natural Elements: Consider bringing a picnic blanket, a straw or sun hat, or a bouquet of sunflowers for added charm (you can pick them right at the farm! At the farms fee). Simple props can enhance the theme without overpowering it.

4. Poses and Expressions:

• Be Yourself: Relax and enjoy the experience! Whether you prefer candid shots or posed portraits, my goal is to capture your natural essence amidst the beauty of the sunflowers. Do not worry too much about posing, I will absolutely guide you.

5. Arrival and Timing: PLEASE READ!

• Punctuality: Please arrive early so we can start on time. With minis, sessions are back-to-back and limited to 20 minutes. If you arrive late, you will lose time for your session. Please keep in mind that when you arrive to the farm you still have to be transported to the field, this can take a while, maybe even 20-30 minutes depending on crowds. My suggestion is to arrive to the farm at least 30 minutes prior to your schedule session. Get your entrance tickets, get transported to the field, and pick some flowers as you wait for your sessions time.

6. Weather Preparedness:

• Check the Forecast: Keep an eye on the weather leading up to your session. If there's a chance of rain or adverse conditions, we'll be in touch to reschedule.

7. Location Details:

• Exact Directions: sessions will take place at Chesterfield Berry Farms,  26002 Pear Orchard Rd, Moseley, VA 23120. You are responsible for your entrance fee. Once you're transported to the field, let the attendants know that you are there to meet me and they should be able to guide you to where I will be. If anything, please call me 703-731-7571. I cannot promise that I will be able to text (because I'll be shooting) but I can quickly answer a call and guide you. I will send an email the day off so you know what I will be wearing and any important details or changes.

8. After the Session:

• Anticipate Your Photos: Your images will be ready within two-three weeks of the session. I will notify you via email as soon as they're available for viewing and selection. You will receive a gallery with an unknown number of photos. The amount of images depends on the amount of time we spend together. Ideally, in a 20 minute session, I send a minimum of 10 photos, but normally it's a lot more than that. With your Minis package, you are allotted ten digital images to be downloaded. You select your favorite ten from your gallery. If you wish to download more images, or get the entire gallery, you can purchase them separately, just let me know!
